... you're playing the piano part of Schubert's "Gretchen am Spinnrade" and you start wondering how the heck anyone could knit with any fibre spun like that!! And I'm not even a spinner. Yet. (Feel free to convert me.)
Thanks to Non Sequiturville for putting me on to this great image.

Love the photo. I haven't tried spinning yet either. I'm afraid I'd develope a roving stash and I just can't have another stash yet!
I learned to spin when I was younger and it was so much work back then as you had to prepare all the fiber. I know it is different right now...but I just don't have time for another interest. Maybe though...
I didn't realize you were a performer. I was so disappointed by the behavior of many people at the play. A total lack of respect. It was very sad. And the look--on the Phantom's face when a cell phone went off--playing the Police. I was so upset for the actor. Sigh.
I don't know... Gretchen am Spinnrade could make for some very interesting 'texture'.... apart from cramps in the wrists of the pianist :-)
Thank you for the comment you left - I'm so chuffed you read it!! Maybe one of these days we'll manage the little jump over the pond...
